I like to think I have good taste in music, but maybe everyone thinks they do. I’m always looking for new music to add to my collection. I’ve compiled a list of my favourite albums ever. These are the kind of albums I will never skip a song on, because they are just that good. Some are new finds and others I found many years ago. These albums also happen to be extremely underrated so I like to share them with people as much as possible.
Sticky Fingers | Caress Your Soul
This album was a random find. I was clicking through videos on youtube one day and the album cover is what got me, until I heard the music. Their sound and the themes of their songs are very unique. This is one of my best finds by far, and their other music is amazing too. They make the kind of music I never get tired of listening to.
Palace | So Long Forever
I like to think it was destiny when I walked into a record store while this album was playing. I like it instantly so I obviously shazamed it. I went back a couple of days later to buy the record, knowing almost every word to every song. The whole album flows really well from start to finish. I’ve listened to it on repeat this whole year.
Two Door Cinema Club | Tourist History
I love this album, it’s my summer anthem. It’s associated with so many good memories and listening to it always gets me feeling nostalgic and happy. Every song is amazing, every single song. This is by far Two Door Cinema Club’s best album. I found out about this album at a time when I didn’t really know what my kind of music I liked, so it’s extra special to me.
Young the Giant | Young the Giant
This band is one of the rawest and purest, and also very underrated. Their music is pure art. I fell in love with them from watching their in the open sessions, in which they sang all of their songs in open spaces like caves and mountains acoustically. From personal experience, I can say they honestly sound the same live as they do in their studio versions.
xx,
